Rick Swan, Colorado College, Coach of the Year

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – Colorado College's head coach Rick Swan earned Coach of the Year honors after guiding the Tigers to a program-best regular season overall mark of 33-2 as well as a perfect 14-0 SCAC record – the first school to complete the conference schedule undefeated since the 2009 Southwestern University squad.

Owner of a 462-157 record (.746) since taking the reins in 1998, Swan is the winningest coach in CC volleyball history and has guided the Tigers to a school-record 17 consecutive appearances in the NCAA Division III playoffs. Swan's Tigers were ranked as high as seventh in the AVCA Top 25 which equals the program’s highest previous ranking when the 2009 team finished seventh in the nation after making its first-ever appearance in the Elite 8 of the NCAA Tournament.

The award marks the third time Swan has been recognized by his peers as the conference’s Coach-of-the-Year – earning the award previously in 2010 as well as a co-COTY nod in 2012.
