ASHLEY MYERS OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a senior from Edna, Texas, has been named the SCAC Track Athlete of the Week for meets through Sunday, February 24th.
Myers swept the sprint events for the Bulldogs last Saturday to guide TLU to a team victory at the Hardin-Simmons Invitational. The senior broke the tape in the 100-meters with a winning time of 12.33 seconds and took home gold in the 200-meters finishing in 25.57 seconds.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Freshman Anna Wilgenbusch of Dallas battled strong winds to finish second-place in the 1,500-meters at the Hardin-Simmons Invitational with a time of 5:39.63. In addition, she finished fifth in the 800-meters crossing the line in 2:54.66 .
