HANNAH KIPP OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a freshman from Ledbetter, Texas, has been named the SCAC Field Athlete of the Week for meets held through Sunday, March 25th.
Kipp threw the discus 39.76 meters at the McMurry War Hawk Classic, putting her at the top of the SCAC and 12th in Division III this season.
She also competed in the hammer throw (35.73 meters) and the javelin (24.35 meters), finishing 12th and 11th, respectively.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior Britney Sullivan of Trinity University won the triple jump and took second in the long jump at the McMurry War Hawk Invitational. She jumped a wind-aided 11.67m in the triple jump and a wind legal 5.71m in the Long Jump. The long jump mark is a new school record.
