CORTNEE PRIOUR OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a junior from Round Rock, Texas, has been named the SCAC Field Athlete of the Week for meets held through Sunday, March 18th.
Priour placed second in the long jump at the University of the Incarnate Word Spring Break Classic. She moved up to third in the early-season outdoor rankings for NCAA Division III with a leap of 18-3 1/4.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Freshman Camille Weaver of Colorado College earned three top-five finishes last week, taking third in the triple jump, fourth in the high jump and fifth in the long jump. Sophomore Hannah Bruce of Southwestern University was the top Division III finisher in the hammer throw at the UIW Classic last week, recording a throw of 41.89 meters to break the SU record and move to the top of the SCAC leaderboard.
