SCAC Women's Swimming & Diving Recap - Week Three

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Three of the league's seven women's swimming and diving teams were in the pool this past weekend.

Trinity University diving competed against NCAA Division I members Texas A&M University and the University of the Incarnate Word (TX) Wednesday in Hixon Natatorium. 

Christine Peterson placed fifth in the women's 3-meter event, scoring 213.65 points, and finishing just five points away from a third-place mark. Mollie Patzke came in sixth on the low board, and Peterson finished right behind her teammate. Patzke was a seventh-place finisher on the 3-meter board.

The Colorado College swimming and diving teams opened the 2016-17 season on Saturday at the CU Buff Invitational in Boulder, Colo. The Tigers won the women's team title with a score of 733.
 
The team was led by juniors Emily Harrisoin and Mary Rose Donahue. Harrison won the 500- and 1,650-yard freestyle races, while Donahue easily won both diving events.

The McMurry University women took part in the Wayland Baptist Invitational on Friday and Saturday at the Pete Ragus Aquatic Center.  The War Hawks placed fourth in the field of five teams.
 
Junior Robyn Remschel earned a first place in the women's 200-yard backstroke, touching at 2:10.41 minutes. She also earned a runner-up placement in the 100 backstroke at 1:00.54.
