YASMEEN FARRA OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior midfielder from Austin, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for matches played Monday, October 24th through Sunday, October 30th. This marks the third week in a row Farra has won the award.
Farra led the second-ranked Tiger women's soccer team to a pair of road wins in SCAC play over the weekend, finishing off the conference schedule undefeated.
Farra finished the weekend with 2 goals and 2 assists.
Farra started by assisting on Friday's game-winner at Schreiner, which came in the 1st minute of action. Farra's goal later in the period put the Tigers up 3-0 at the time, and she also added a second-half assist in the win.
On Sunday at Dallas, Farra knocked in the game-winning goal in the sixth minute of action, increasing her team-leading totals to 13 goals, including 6 game-winners.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore forward Kati-Jayde Cunningham of Centenary College concluded a great season with a goal and an assist to help the Ladies knock off Austin College, 3-1. She has scored the most goals for Centenary in the last 5 seasons. Senior midfielder Marisol Ramos of Texas Lutheran University scored the game-winning goal against Southwestern just 17 seconds into overtime. Ramos took a cross from Selena Wicklund and knocked home a shot into the right upper-half of the net.
