YASMEEN FARRA OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior midfielder from Austin, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for matches played Monday, October 10th through Sunday, October 16th.
Farra led the third-ranked Tiger women's soccer team to SCAC victories over Schreiner, Austin College, and Centenary last week, outscoring the opposition 22-0.
Farra contributed 4 goals over the three-game stretch, saving her scoring output for the weekend's action that marked the final regular season home games of her career. Farra had 2 goals in the first half of the games against Austin and Centenary, including the eventual game-winner versus Centenary.
Farra has now scored a career-best 9 goals for the Tigers this season, as well as contributing 3 assists for a total of 21 points - good for second on the team. She also leads Trinity with 3 game-winning goals this year.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore midfielder Kayla McConnell of Schreiner University helped lead the Mountaineers to a 2-1 week with 2 goals, including a game-winner vs. Centenary.
