CHELSEA REEH OF THE UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS, a freshman forward from Boerne, Tx., has been selected the SCAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for matches played Monday, September 26th through Sunday, October 2nd.
Reeh earned the heroic golden goal - her 2nd of the day - for the University of Dallas on Sunday in the Crusaders first conference win over Centenary.
Reeh scored her first career goal to get the Crusaders on the board early in the first half.
Reeh recorded 3 shots on the night with 100% of her shots on goal.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior forward Ruth Blackburn of Schreiner University led the Mountaineers to a 1-0-1 week, recording the game winning goal vs. Southwestern with 90 seconds left in regulation. Freshman defender Serena Gallegos of Centenary College scored the game-tying goal against the Lady Crusaders. Gallegos scored in the first half and added a goal in the 88th minute off a rebound to tie the game and send the game in to OT. Junior defender Julia Kelly of Trinity University scored the only goal of the game in Trinity's win over Southwestern, then assisted on the eventual game-winner against Texas Lutheran on Sunday. Junior Kyli Scott of Austin College tallied a game-winning goal against the University of Dallas, giving the 'Roos their first SCAC victory of 2016 in the 1-0 decision.
