Julia Camp, Trinity University, Offensive Player of the Week (Week 4)

JULIA CAMP OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior forward from Houston, Tx., has been selected the SCAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for matches played Monday, September 19th through Sunday, September 25th. 

Camp led Trinity to three wins last week, including a standout weekend on the road against SCAC teams Austin College and Centenary.

Camp began the week with a school-record-tying 4 goals on 7 shots against Austin College - including the eventual game-winner in the ninth minute of play.

Camp's weekend then picked up 2 more goals and 2 assists in the 7-0 win over Centenary.

In total, Camp was involved in 8 of Trinity's 12 goals in conference play this weekend.

Camp now leads the Tigers in points with 8 goals and 6 assists for a total of 22 points so far this season. 

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior forward Mady Akers of Southwestern University came off the bench to tally 3 goals and 3 assists to lead the Pirates to a pair of victories and remain perfect in conference play. Freshman forward Jaclyn Smolik of Texas Lutheran University recorded 3 points in each of the Bulldogs' two victories this past week, providing a goal and an assist in the TLU road win over Huston-Tillotson (2-1) and a goal and an assist in the Bulldogs' SCAC road win over Dallas (2-0).
