
ABBY LOAR OF
TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior forward from
Littleton, Colo., has been selected as the SCAC Women's Soccer
Offensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday,
September 26 through Sunday, October 2.
Loar led Trinity to three wins over the past week,
scoring the game-winning goals in both of the team’s SCAC
road wins at Centre and Sewanee. Loar scored four
total goals and had three assists for the week, nabbing two goals
and two assists in the win over UMHB on Tuesday. On Friday,
Loar nailed the game-winning goal in the 103rd
minute to give Trinity the double-overtime win over #13 Centre. She
then hit the eventual game-winner in the opening minutes of the
team’s win at Sewanee on Sunday.
For the season, Loar is second on the
team with nine goals and 26 total points, and is tied for the team
lead with eight assists. She is also tied for the team lead with
four game-winning goals this season.
