SUMMER SWIFT OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a junior from Fentress, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Golfer-of-the-Week for competition played through October 2nd.
Swift moved up 12 spots following day one to finish fourth out of 39 athletes at the Lady Crusader Invitational hosted by Mary Hardin-Baylor on the par-72, 5,846-yard Squaw Valley course. Swift opened with an 82 but closed out the tournament with a one-over par 73 to finish with a two-day total of 155. The second-round 73 tied for the best round of the tournament and is a career best for Swift. She tallied 21 pars and three birdies in 36-holes.
Swift also led the Bulldogs to a fourth-place finish out of eight teams with a two-round score of 660 (335-325).
