Maggie Shipley, Trinity University, Player of the Week (Week 15)

MAGGIE SHIPLEY OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior guard from Arlington, Va., has been named the SCAC Women’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, February 14 through Sunday, February 20. (Women's Basketball Weekly Release - Week 15)

Shipley continued her steady scoring output last week to lead the Tigers to the sixth undefeated regular season in league history with road victories over Schreiner and Dallas. The Arlington, Virginia-native posted a nine-for-10 clip Sunday against the Crusaders, just the third time a Trinity player has reached 90 percent on 10 attempts in a single game in team history. Shipley went 13-of-16 from the field overall last week for a 15.5 points per game average all while averaging just 22 minutes per contest. On the week, Shipley also added 4.0 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 2.5 assists per game, while shooting 81.3 percent from the field.

She went 8-for-12 from the floor to raise her overall field-goal percentage to .525, which ranks third in the SCAC. Tomlinson leads Colorado College and ranks fourth in the conference averaging 8.2 rebounds per game.
