AMANDA LOCHTE OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a junior pitcher from Austin, Texas, has been named the SCAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for games played Monday, April 11th through Sunday April 17th.
Lochte picked up two wins and a save in the Bulldogs' four-game sweep of Trinity. In the series finale, Lochte had a no-hitter with two outs in the fifth before allowing a hit. She finished the series without allowing a run in 13 innings. Lochte recorded two complete games and allowed only seven hits in 13 innings.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore pitcher Haley Miller of Centenary finished the week with a 0.84 ERA in two games against Austin. Junior pitcher Victoria Herrera of Austin College pitched three games out of a four game series, posting a 2.33 ERA in 21.0 innings of work. Senior pitcher Katie Castillon of Trinity pitched in two complete games against No. 3 Texas Lutheran finishing with a 3.50 ERA.
