TYLER ADAMS OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a junior from Olden, Texas, has been named the SCAC Field Athlete of the Week for meets held through Sunday, April 2nd.
Adams marked a throw of 46.47 meters in the hammer throw at the Tiger Invitational over the weekend, recording both an SU record and a conference leading throw.
Adams placed second in the meet behind MIT's Jon Fakkema.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior John Hatch of Colorado College had a mark of 20' 4 3/4" in the long jump which places him 3rd in the SCAC and a jump of 44' 3 1/4" in the triple jump which places him first in the SCAC. Sophomore Edgar Baez of Trinity University jumped a season best 13.25 meters in the triple jump.
