WILSON HAMILTON/JACE AKAGI-OKUMA OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, have been named the SCAC Men's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week for matches played through Sunday, March 25th. Lambeth is a first-year from Austin, Texas and Akagi-Okuma is a first-year from Mililiani, Hawaii.
The Tiger duo of Hamilton and Akagi-Okuma went undefeated to lead #15 Trinity to a 3-0 weekend of action at home against Austin College, Hardin-Simmons, and East Texas Baptist. The Trinity duo improved to 11-6 on the season after the three wins, which helped the Tigers secure three consecutive 9-0 victories.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Josh Granberry and Erik Meendsen of Austin College had an outstanding weekend, going 3-1 including a big victory as the 'Roos hosted Colby College. Luis Cabreja and Andrew Albright of Schreiner University went 2-1 last weekend to lead the Mountaineers. David Strong and Tyler Norman of Southwestern University posted an 8-0 win over Howard Payne and followed by winning 8-4 against LeTourneau in No. 2 doubles
