ALEXIS DIMANCHE OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a sophomore from Mouans-Sartoux, Alpes Maritimes, France, has been named the SCAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played through Sunday, April 15th.
Dimanche went 2-0 at No. 1 singles last week to help the Pirates to a pair of team victories.
Dimanche earned one of three singles victories in the Pirates' upset over Trinity University, defeating the No. 7 player in the region, Wilson Hamilton, in a three-setter, 6-3, 7-6, 6-4.
In the Pirates' match against McMurry, Dimanche took down the #17 player in the region, Carlos Martinez, 6-3, 6-3.
Other outstandings performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore Carlos Subealdea of Texas Lutheran University posted a No. 1 singles win against Schreiner University this weekend, winning in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3. Junior Wilson Lambeth of Trinity University won at #3 singles against the Pirates, then took a line one win against the Warhawks last week.
