JACOB JONES OF UNIVERSITY OF THE OZARKS, a senior from Longview, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week for performances during the meets swam Monday, November 4 to Sunday, November 10.
Jones came from behind to win both the 100 and 200 free, in 48.32 and 1:48.30, respectively. The 200 free time set a new team and pool record and the 100 free set a new pool record. Jones also anchored to win the 200 freestyle relay.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore Spencer Steward of Trinity University had the fastest breast split on the medley relay with 27.0, then went on to get second in both of his races. He won both final heats and out-touched his opponents with a 59.8 and 2:10.63 in the 200.
