STEPHEN CULBERSON OF TRINITY UNIVERISTY, a senior from Highland, Ind., has been selected the SCAC Men's Swimmer-of-the-Week for all meets through Sunday, November 23rd.
Culberson recorded some exceptional swims during the Tiger's two day dual meet with Claremont McKenna, the top NCAA Division III team in Southern California.
Culberson got his weekend off and running on
Friday by anchoring Trinity's 200 medley relay with a red hot
19.89, and then came back to take the 50 freestyle relay top spot
with a 21.07.
He came back Saturday afternoon and rocketed off the blocks as the
lead leg on the Tiger 200 freestyle relay, recording a time of
20.86 (ranking him 4th in the nation) and helping Trinity post a
1:24.35 (which puts that foursome 6th nationally).
Shortly after that, Culberson came back to put up a 1:43.82 in the 200 freestyle before logging a quick 46.57 in the century sprint (15th in the nation). He wrapped up the day by splitting a 46.26 swimming the second leg on Trinity's 400 freestyle relay, which touched up just behind Claremont with a 3:09.92 (12th nationally).
