ALEX MIRANDA OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior from Upper Arlington, Ohio, has been selected the SCAC Men's Swimmer-of-the-Week for all meets from Monday, January 24 through Sunday, January 30.
Miranda had several good swimsat the 2011 UIW Invitational this past weekend. After posting a time of 4:14.86 in the 400 IM on Saturday morning, Miranda came back at the conclusion of the session and clocked a time of 16:10.51 in the 1650 freestyle.
The time is believed to be the fastest
untapered 1650 free in conference history and was 21.65 seconds
faster than the time he recorded a year ago in the same meet.

Erik
won the 200Free with a time of 1:47.14 and placed 2nd in
the 100yd fly with a time of 53.74. Erik also led off the
winning 200 free relay with a 22.79. On Sunday’s meet
against Colorado College Erik placed first in the 200 free with a
time of 1:47.74 and the 200 fly with a time of 2:00.38. Erik
also led off the winning 400 free relay with a 49.90.
