LUCAS BELURY OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a first-year swimmer from New Albany, Ohio, has been selected the SCAC Men's Swimmer-of-the-Week for all meets from Monday, November 15 through Sunday, November 21.
Belury posted an impressive 16:26.38 in the 1,650 freestyle during the Trinity/Southwestern Shootout. He was third at the 1,000 mark, trailing teammates Alex Miranda and Andrew Battles but reeled in both the defending SCAC 500 champion and defending SCAC 1650 champion by stringing together 12 sub 30 second 50's (27.66 over the last 50) to win the race.
Earlier in the meet, Belury finished fourth in the 500 freesytle with a 4:47.61 and fourth in the 400 IM with a time of 4:21.34.

Erik
won the 200Free with a time of 1:47.14 and placed 2nd in
the 100yd fly with a time of 53.74. Erik also led off the
winning 200 free relay with a 22.79. On Sunday’s meet
against Colorado College Erik placed first in the 200 free with a
time of 1:47.74 and the 200 fly with a time of 2:00.38. Erik
also led off the winning 400 free relay with a 49.90.
