Jacob Hallenberger, Trinity University, Offensive Player of the Week (Week 1)
JACOB HALLENBERGER OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a first year midfielder from San Antonio, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Thursday, September 1st through Monday, September 5th. 

Hallenberger led Trinity to a pair of wins to start the season, capped with an upset win over seventh-ranked University of Redlands on Sunday night.

Hallenberger netted two goals in the win over Redlands, including the first game-winner of his young career. Hallenberger scored the second goal of the night to put the Tigers ahead 2-0 in the 31st minute, then after Redlands rallied to tie the game in the 77th minute, he scored the winner less than three minutes later.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior forward Thomas Quick of Austin College had a strong start to his senior season, assisting on the game winner in a 2-1 victory over defending ASC champ Texas-Dallas, and then adding a goal of his own in a 3-0 victory over George Fox. Freshman forward Nat Kajiware of the University of Dallas made a memorable college debut by notching both goals including the game-winning score in overtime to lift the University of Dallas men's soccer team to a 2-1 final over George Fox University. He finished with seven shots in a pair of contests. Junior midfielder Kip Karschnik of Southwestern University recorded a hat trick in a 7-1 win over Hendrix College, and posted on assist over the weekend in his first action as a Pirate. Senior midfielder David Ching of Texas Lutheran University scored a golden goal in the 92nd minute of the first overtime Friday to lift the Bulldogs to a season opening win against LeTourneau University.
