BUCK MCKENNA
OF COLORADO COLLEGE a senior midfielder Wenham,
Mass., has been selected the SCAC Men's Lacrosse Defensive
Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, March 28 through
Sunday, April 3.
McKenna won 27 of 30 faceoffs and picked up 25
ground balls during Colorado College’s two victories last
week. He won 12 of 14 draws against the Majors and grabbed a
career-high 14 ground balls.
Less than 24 hours later, McKenna won 15 of
16 faceoffs vs. the Pirates and picked up 11 ground balls. He also
scored a goal and set up another to record the first multi-point
game of his career.
McKenna leads the team with 47 ground balls and has won 55 of 83 faceoffs (.663) during the 2011 season.
