ADAM PETERSON OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a senior from Baytown, Texas, is named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week for tournaments played through Tuesday, April 7, 2015.

Peterson earns the SCAC Golfer of the Week award for the third time this season and second time in a row after posting his third consecutive top-finish this week, competing at the West Region Invitational hosted by Southwestern University. The competition featured five nationally-ranked teams, including the No. 16 Bulldogs.

Peterson led the Bulldogs to a fourth-place finish behind three other SCAC members, No. 7 Schreiner University, No. 13 Southwestern University and No. 17 Trinity University.

Through the first round, Peterson posted an 80 (+8), putting him in a tie for 12th place. After a second round, he ended Monday's competition in a tie for fifth place, improving by eight shots in the second round to move into a tie for fifth place.

Peterson shot the tournament's lowest round on the final day, posting a 69 to move into the top spot. In the past three competitions that Peterson has won, this is the first time he was not leading the pack heading into the final round.

This rounds out the Bulldogs regular season schedule and they will compete next at the SCAC Golf Championship in Blanco, Texas beginning April 20.
