Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Freshman forward Ty Prince of Centenary scored his collegiate high in helping the Gents beat East Texas Baptist for the first time in almost seven years last week. He made two critical threes in the final two minutes of each half - the first half giving Centenary a lead at the break and the second to extend a one-point lead. He helped seal the game with a pair from the charity stripe and finished with 24 points and four rebounds. Junior forward CooXooEii Black of Colorado College shot 64.0 percent from the floor in two games last week, making 16 of 25 shots, which was well above his conference-leading .582 field-goal percentage. Junior forward Andrew Puhl of Southwestern averaged a double-double with 13.5 points on 57.1 percent and 10 rebounds while playing solid team defense to lead the Pirates to a 2-0 record in conference play in his first two starts of the season. Senior guard Nathan Joseph of Texas Lutheran led the Bulldogs to a 1-1 start in SCAC play last week, averaging 20.5 points, 4.5 assists and 3.5 rebounds.
