TRAVION KIRKENDOLL OF CENTENARY COLLEGE, a senior guard from Campti, La., has been named the SCAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played through Sunday, January 15.

Kirkendoll led the Gents to a weekend split, averaging 22.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 3.0 steals per game.

The Gents took down Colorado College on the road Sunday, with Kirkendoll scoring 20 points, dishing out five assists and grabbing four steals. For the weekend, he shot 46.2% from the field.

The Gents are currently tied for third place in the conference standings with a 3-2 record and will face the top two teams in the league this weekend.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior guard Josh Quinn of Austin College had a big weekend for the 'Roos, averaging 18.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 3.0 steals, and 2.0 blocks. Senior guard Eric Houska of Colorado College had a season-high 23 points and eight assists to lead Colorado College to a win over Austin College Friday night. Freshman forward Spencer Levi of the University of Dallas averaged 18 points in three games this week, and had 22.5 points-per-game against two SCAC teams over the weekend highlighted by 28 in a win over Centenary College. Sophomore forward Brandon Alexander of Southwestern University record 29 points and eight rebounds in the Pirates overtime loss on Saturday night. Junior guard Nathan Josephs of Texas Lutheran University averaged 20 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.0 steals per game as the Bulldogs dropped both conference games at home over the weekend. Junior guard Taylor Kim of Trinity University averaged just under 10 points per game and shot 46.2% from the field in the two games, but his big night was a career-best effort in Saturday's double-overtime win over Southwestern.
