TRAVION KIRKENDOLL OF CENTENARY COLLEGE, a junior guard from Campti, La., has been named the SCAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played through Sunday, December 11th.
Kirkendoll became the 33rd Gents' player to reach 1,000 point for his career Thursday. He scored 16 of his 17 points in the first half to help Centenary to an 80-77 win over Louisiana College.
Kirkendoll also added 11 rebounds and five assists in the game. He now ranks second in the conference in scoring and sixth in rebounds per game.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore forward Darrius Colvin of the University of Dallas recorded his second double-double of the season with 18 points and 11 rebounds in the Crusaders win over Dallas Christian.Senior forward Zach Whitlock of Southwestern University had 16 points on 50.0% shooting and eight rebounds in a loss to Mary Hardin-Baylor last week.
