AUSTIN FREET OF AUSTIN COLLEGE, a junior forward from Highland Village, Texas, has been named the SCAC Men's Basketball Co-Player of the Week for games played Monday, December 7th through Sunday December 13th.
Freet had an outstanding all-around game in a win over Bacone, scoring 19 points, grabbing 15 rebounds, handing out three assists and adding a steal. Freet, who leads the 'Roos with 8.8 rebounds-per-game, shot 63.6% from the field and made all five of his free throw attempts in the victory, which brought Austin College to 6-0 on the year.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior guard Michael Sarrat of the University of Dallas led the Crusaders with 15 points in the team's victory over Sul Ross State University in the lone contest last week. Sarrat was a perfect 8-for-8 at the free throw line as he hit a season-high. He also dished three assists.
