JAMES SAPP OF CENTENARY COLLEGE, a junior forward from Shongaloo, La., has been named the SCAC Men's Basketball Co-Player of the Week for games played Monday, December 7th through Sunday December 13th.

The returning SCAC Player of the Year turned in one of his best performances in his career as Centenary claimed a 21-point win against Belhaven. Sapp etched his second in as many games, his third this season and 10th double-double of his collegiate career with 25 points and 10 rebounds, the only conference player and only one of 51 in the country averaging double-digits in points and rebounds.

Sapp turned in a career-high five assists against only one turnover. He also had a pair of steals and hit both three-pointers taken in the game.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior guard Michael Sarrat of the University of Dallas led the Crusaders with 15 points in the team's victory over Sul Ross State University in the lone contest last week. Sarrat was a perfect 8-for-8 at the free throw line as he hit a season-high. He also dished three assists.
