Sterling Holmes, Texas Lutheran University, Player of the Week (Week Three)

STERLING HOLMES OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a junior guard from San Antonio, Texas, has been named the SCAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Monday, November 23rd through Sunday, November 29th. 

Holmes led TLU to a 3-0 record last week (with wins over Hardin-Simmons, LeTourneau and No. 25 East Texas Baptist) by averaging 22.7 points, 10.3 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.0 steals per game.

Holmes came up one assist short of a triple double in the home win over HSU. He tallied 28 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists in the win. In the comeback victory over ETBU, Holmes collected 17 points, eight rebounds and two assists. TLU rallied from 18 down in the second half to defeat the Tigers.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior forward A.J. Pulliam of Trinity University posted a career-best 31 points against Puget Sound last weekend. Sophomore forward Andrew Maddock of Colorado College posted a career-best 25 points and .846 shooting percentage against Howard Payne. Sophomore guard Travion Kirkendoll of Centenary College matched a career best with nine rebounds as Centenary erased a nine-point second half deficit - and a seven-point secoynd overtime deficit - in beating McMurry. Sophomore guard Connor Kim of Southwestern University averaged 22 points per game through two games, shooting 44.4% from the floor and 35.7% form three point range. Junior forward Tom Kaiser of the University of Dallas had a career performance tallying 22 points and grabbing 12 rebounds for a double-double in Dallas's first win of the season against Curry College.
