TRAVION KIRKENDOLL OF CENTENARY COLLEGE, a sophomore guard from Campti, La., has been named the SCAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Monday, February 8th through Sunday, February 14th.

Kirkendoll moved up to fourth in the conference overall, and second to teammate James Sapp, in rebounds this past weekend. In a big game at Trinity, Kirkendoll grabbed a career-best 12 boards to go along with 26 points. He now has six double-doubles on the year. He continues to lead the conference by more than a point and a half in scoring. 

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Freshman forward Ben Beatie of Trinity averaged 15.0 point, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks per game for the weekend, hitting 13-25 (59.1%) from the field. Senior forward James Lonergan of Colorado College put up 16 ppg and shot 66.7% from three point range for the Tigers last week. Freshman guard Paris Marquez of Texas Lutheran averaged 17.5 points and shot 47.6 percent from the floor and 55.6 percent from the three-point line as the Bulldogs went 2-0 for the week with two key road wins, at Dallas and at Austin. Senior guard Christian Pena of Schreiner University helped lead the Mountaineers to a 2-0 weekend with 15 ppg, 10.5 reb per game, and 2.5 assists per game. Junior forward Alan Sullivan of Austin College averaged 24.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and shot 56.7% from the field and 53.3% from three point range while also hitting 87.5% from the free throw line. Junior forward Zachary Whitlock of Southwestern University averaged 20.5 points and 6 rebounds as SU secured 3rd place.
