ALAN SULLIVAN OF AUSTIN COLLEGE, a junior forward from Dallas, Texas, has been named the SCAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Monday, January 25th through Sunday, January 31st.

Sullivan became the first Austin College player to score 40 points in a game since 1998, knocking down 8-of-11 threes on his way to hitting the 40 point mark in a win at Schreiner. Sullivan followed that up with 20 points at Trinity, averaging 30.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game, while shooting 52.6% from the field and 50% from long distance, while going a perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line. His 40 points against Schreiner were the most scored by an individual in the SCAC this season.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore forward John Hatch of Colorado College scored a career-high 21 points in Friday's loss to first-place Texas Lutheran and matched that total in Sunday's overtime victory against Southwestern. Freshman guard Treylan Matthews of Centenary College had a career weekend posting a double-double against Southwestern Friday night and putting up 27 against TLU. Sophomore forward Jayden Holden of Trinity University averaged 16 points per game and 6.5 rebounds in his first two career starts for the Tigers. Junior guard Sterling Holmes of Texas Lutheran averaged 18 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.0 steal per game as the Bulldogs split the week. Junior forward Zachary Whitlock of Southwestern University averaged a double-double as the Pirates went 1-1 this weekend with two overtime contests. Junior forward Tom Kaiser of Dallas shot 63.3 percent from the field and averaged 18 points-per-game in three contests last week for the Crusaders.
