CALEB ALLEN OF SCHREINER UNIVERSITY, a junior pitcher from Katy, Texas, has been named the SCAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week for games played through Sunday, February 25th.
Allen earned his first win of the season on Sunday, as the Mountaineers defeated LeTourneau University 5-1.
Allen went 8.0 innings on the mound, allowing one earned run on just three hits. He also fanned six batters in the game.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior pitcher Nathan Malinovsky of Texas Lutheran University tossed six innings and did not allow an earned run in a loss to No. 16 University of Texas at Tyler. Malinovsky struck out four and walked one. UT Tyler scored all four runs against him with the help of three TLU fielding errors.
