Keaton Boysen, Texas Lutheran University, Offensive Player of the Week (Week 5)

KEATON BOYSEN OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a senior outfielder from Scottsdale, Ariz., has been named the SCAC Baseball Offensive Player of the Week for games played through Sunday, March 4th. 

Boysen led the Bulldogs with a .556 batting average, helping TLU secure a three-game sweep of the War Hawks in this week's action.

Boysen went a combined 5-for-9 with five runs scored and four runs driven home. In the 5-2 victory Friday, TLU was trailing 2-0 when Boysen singled out to left field with bases loaded to open scoring for the Bulldogs.

After being out since October, Boysen played an impressive game Saturday, he had four hits and drove in three. Boysen also plated four runs for TLU in that game.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior outfielder Oscar Gonzalez of Austin College had a big weekend for the 'Roos in a three game series against Sul Ross, hitting .615 with a .667 on-base percentage and a .692 slugging percentage. Sophomore third baseman Nathan Patton of the University of Dallas notched multiple hit games with an RBI in both victories on Saturday, scoring a run in the first game and stealing two bases in the second game. Sophomore outfielder Rafe Chaumette of Trinity University picked up a hit in each game over the past week, starting with a 4-4 performance against UMHB on Tuesday night.
