
RAYCE GATLIN OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a junior outfielder from Orange Grove, Texas, has been named the SCAC Baseball Offensive Player of the Week for games played Monday, April 11th through Sunday, April 17th.
Gatlin hit .667 in the Bulldogs' series win over Centenary and had a 4-for-4 performance with four RBI in the series clincher. Gatlin had at least two hits in each game and scored three runs. Gatlin had an on-base percentage of .692.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Freshman right fielder Oscar Gonzalez of Austin College had an outstanding weekend at the plate, batting .438 with an on base percentage of .654 and a slugging percentage of .688. Senior outfielder Andrew Waters of Trinity University went 2-3 with two doubles and two RBI in the game against Mary Hardin-Baylor, as well as scoring a run for the Tiger offense.
