Richardson is in his fourth year as a member of the TLU Men’s Basketball team. Richardson has played in 78 career games for the Bulldogs, and he has made 30 career starts.

Richardson, a San Antonio native, twice has been a nominee for Capital One Academic All-District and All-America honors. He has been named to Academic All-Conference squads in the SCAC and in the American Southwest Conference.

An kinesiology major with an emphasis in exercise science, Richardson plans to attend medical school. He currently holds a cumulative grade point average of 3.45.

Richardson has volunteered alongside his teammates at the Guadalupe County Family Violence Shelter and at Mosaic Community Church.

With Richardson playing a key role as back-up point and two-guard, the Bulldogs are off to a 9-7 overall record and a 4-1 start in the SCAC. The 4-1 record has the Bulldogs currently sitting at the top of the SCAC Men’s Basketball standings.

The four wins for TLU in SCAC play this year already surpasses the Bulldogs’ SCAC win total of three from a year ago.

For the season, Richardson has played in 14 games. He is averaging close to 10 minutes of playing time per game.

The Character & Community award, established prior to the 2009-10 academic year, is an effort by the SCAC to honor the efforts of student-athletes who excel in the field of athletics, and also serve their campus and community.
