KORY
KILPATRICK OF RHODES
COLLEGE, a senior post from
Athens, Georgia, on the men's basketball team, has been
selected the SCAC Character & Community Male
Student-Athlete-of-the-Week for the week ending January 15,
2012.
Kilpatrick has been a major varsity
contributor to the men’s basketball program for four years.
But in addition to his efforts on the hardwood,
Kilpatrick has also been a valuable member of the
Rhodes and greater Memphis community.
He has served as a tutor for first and second graders at a local
elementary school - a project he also helps fund. He has
also served as a member of the Lynx Club for Special Olympics
program at Rhodes, and has been a member of the Student Athletic
Advisory Committee for four years.
Since 2009, Kilpatrick has raised/donated more
than $25,000 benefiting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital,
Japanese Earthquake and Tsunami relief, the Chron's and Colitis
Foundation of America, and the Red Cross. In addition, he is
the youngest "major" donor to the American Red Cross in their
Mid-South chapter.
