LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -
Seven of the league's nine women’s cross country teams were in action last week, highlighted by Dallas taking first place at the East Texas Baptist Home Meet.

Sophomore Anna Wilgenbusch led the Crusaders to their second first place finish in the last week with her fifth straight individual first-place mark in as many meets. Wilgenbush broke a school record in the 6K, shattering the previous mark with a 22:41.80 finish. Emma Kate Callahan finished third in a time of 25:23.70. Austin College also participated in the ETBU Home Meet and although the 'Roos did not post a team score, Danielle Lozano set a new personal record in the 6K on her way to a sixth-place individual finish with a time of 26:06.10.

Southwestern runners finished second and third at the Pirate Invitational. Emma Pertuit finished a close second place to TAMU-Kingsville's Monica Yanez with a 6K time of 27:05.0. Lauren Calzado, who marked her best 6K time, finished right after Pertuit with a time 27:58.1. Schreiner's Sarah Endres paced the Mountaineers with a seventh-place finish in a 29:27.1 finish. Neither Southwestern or Schreiner ran enough runners to score.

Both Colorado College and Johnson & Wales ran at the Fort Hays State Tiger Open. Colorado College finished in 11th of 13 teams in the Gold Division race. The Tigers were led by freshman Dafna Williams with a 53rd place finish, covering the 5K course in 19:58.6 seconds. JWU finished 13th of 13 teams in the Black Division race. Pacing the Wildcasts once again was senior Rachel Seligson who placed 44th individually with a personal best 5K time of 21:18.9.

Texas Lutheran finished 11th of 16 teams at the 23rd annual Disney Cross Country Classic. The Bulldogs' Kylee Garcia posted a top 20 individual finish, navigating the 5K course in a time of 19:40.6 to place 19th.

Next week is another busy weekend with harriers from seven squads in action at various meets, including Austin College, Dallas, Schreiner and Trinity at the McMurry University/Bill Libby Invitational.
