SCAC Women's Cross Country Recap - Week Three

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -
Eight out of the 10 SCAC women's cross country teams were in action last week, led by sophomore Anna Wilgenbusch of Dallas taking home the top individual honor at the UT Dallas Invitiational. 

Texas Lutheran University and Trinity University competed at the UT Invitational meet on Friday. The Trinity women finished second with 50 total points, including five runners in the top 25, led by junior Jordan Juran finishing 16th. The Bulldogs followed placing 5th out of six teams. 

St. Thomas opened it's 2019 season at the Rice Invitational on Friday. The Celts were led by Grace Ringen recording a top 50 finish, finishing 50th with a time of 16:06.24 on the 4k course. 

Austin College and Dallas competed at the UT Dallas Invitational in Richardson, TX. Dallas placed 4th out of seven teams with Anna Wilgenbusch finishing first overall, crossing the line of the 5k course at 18:54.6. Wilgenbusch is the first UD runner to win a meet since 2013. The 'Roos were led by Danielle Lozano finishing 18th with a time of 22:06.1.

The CC Tigers held the Colorado College Invitational placing 5th among 6 teams, with 10 runners in the top 40. Freshman Alex Davey led the Tigers finishing 14th. 

Johnson & Wales and Schreiner were both in action over the weekend with the Wildcats competed at the Hasting Broco Stampede Invitational and the Mountaineers running at Incarnate Word Invitational. JWU was led by Rachel Seligson finishing 49th, and Schreiner was paced by Kendall Lee finishing 35th. 

This weekend the action continues with five teams competing on Saturday, highlighted by Schreiner, Southwestern, Texas Lutheran and Trinity all competing at the OLLU Saints Collegiate Invitational and  Dallas running at the Bethel College Muthama-Rogers Invitational.
