Anna Wilgenbusch of University of Dallas finished first among 239 runners at the NCAA Women's Cross Country South/Southeast Regional Saturday morning in Memphis.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - University of Dallas sophomore Anna Wilgenbusch became the ninth female in SCAC history to win at regionals, continuing her incredible season with a first-place finish at the NCAA South/Southeast Regional Championship hosted by Rhodes College on Saturday. She set a new school record with a time of 21:29.3, shattering her previous record of 21:58.15 set last week at the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Championship meet. Results 

With the victory, Wilgenbusch punched her ticket as an Individual Qualifier to the NCAA Division III National Championships which will be held in Louisville, Kentucky next Saturday.

Wilgenbusch is the league's first regional winner since Maddie Murphy of Trinity in 2013 and the first UD cross country athlete to advance to the NCAA National Championships in school history. 

Also joining Wilgenbusch as a national qualifier will be Trinity's Brianna Ratliff as the senior posted a 10th-place finish in a time of 22:03.6 to lead the Tigers to a fourth-place team finish. 

Trinity finished with 160 points, only behind Centre College (101), Emory University (85) and Washington & Lee University (36) in the 33-team field. The Trinity women were the only SCAC school to score at the meet.

Joining Wilgenbush and Ratliff on the All-Region team from the SCAC is Trinity's Jordan Juran, who finished in 14th with a time of 22:18.3, and Texas Lutheran's Kylee Garcia who was 28th in a time of 22:54.6.

After Centre (Ky.) College was granted an at-large bid on Sunday, Trinity's Juran also earned an individual championship invite.

CLAREMONT, Calif. - The Colorado College women's cross country team concluded its 2019 season Saturday with an eighth-place finish at the NCAA Division III West Regional Championships in Claremont, California. Results

Sophomore Alexia Preston led the Tigers with a 24th-place finish to earn All-Region honors, covering the 6K course in a time of 23:28.1. First-year Emily Dwyer, the SCAC Newcomer of the Year, also earned All-Region honors with a 30th-place finish. She navigated the course in a time of 23:39.8.
