JESSE STOVALL OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a sophomore from Nacogdoches, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week for performances during meets swam Monday, October 21 to Sunday, October 27.
In Friday's dual meet at Austin College, Stovall posted first-place finishes in the 50 free (25:21) and the 100 fly (1:02.03) and swam a 25.2 split on the winning 200 free relay team. The following day against Division II Oklahoma Christian, she continued her winning ways in the 50 free (25.20) and 100 free (55.75) and was also key in helping the Pirates to victories in the 200 medley relay and 400 free relay. Stovall posted a split of 26.79 in the fly for the 200 medley relay and a split of 53.90 in the 400 free relay.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Freshman Liberty Chanin of Austin College had two individual wins this past Friday in a dual meet against Southwestern. Chanin picked up wins in the 1000 free (11:14.62) and 500 free (5:35.21).
