  • DePauw Wins Fifth Consecutive SCAC President's Trophy

    SUWANEE, Ga. - With spring championships in women's tennis and women's golf - in addition to second-place finishes in men's and women's track & field, baseball and men's tennis - DePauw University cruised to a 127.5 point victory in the race for the 2009-10 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference President's Trophy. It is the fifth consecutive all-sports trophy for the Tigers.

    SUWANEE, Ga. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) named a record 783 student-athletes to the 2009 SCAC Fall Academic Honor Roll on Friday. This year's total eclipsed last year's previous record of 778 student-athletes. Since its inception in the fall of 1997, over 15,500 student-athletes have achieved recognition for their contributions in the classroom.

The Tigers will open play on November 15 against the winner of Maryville (Tenn.) and Mary Washington.

    SUWANEE, Ga. - Three teams (Oglethorpe, Sewanee, Trinity) remain undefeated heading into the first weekend of conference play in the SCAC. Trinity made a huge leap into the top twenty-five now ranked tenth in the nation after starting out 4-0 for the first time since 2004. Sewanee picked up the Birmingham-Southern Classic Championship over the weekend while Oglethorpe is off to just it's second ever 3-0 start.
