EMMA PERTUIT OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a first-year midfielder from Seabrook, Texas, has been named SCAC Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, March 9 through Sunday, March 15.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior defender Cherry Jones of Colorado College recorded six ground balls and six caused turnovers as Colorado College posted a 1-2 record last week. During Monday's 18-7 loss to No. 5 Wesleyan, Jones produced a career-best three caused turnovers and added a pair of ground balls. Two days later, she registered one ground balls and one caused turnover in the 21-9 setback against No. 16 Ithaca College. Jones wrapped up the week with a season-high three ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers in the 13-1 victory over Plymouth State. She also earned her first point of the season with an assist against the Panthers.
