EVA KING OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a junior attack from Baltimore, Md., has been named the SCAC Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, March 25th through Sunday, March 31st.
King produced a combined 13 goals, eight assists and 21 points last week as No. 22 Colorado College recorded four victories in seven days. She also grabbed nine ground balls and caused four turnovers. Her performances helped the Tigers record three wins against West Region opponents at or near the top of their respective conference. King began the week with a three-goal, two-assist performance in the 19-9 win over George Fox, the Northwest Conference leader which entered the game with a 5-1 record. On Wednesday against MIT, King recorded three goals and two assists, along with three ground balls. King scored four goals and set up another as Colorado College began a two-day trip to Southern California with a 14-8 win at Occidental. Playing its second game in a span of 25 hours on Sunday, King finished with three goals and three assists against the Sagehens, the second-place team in the SCIAC which entered the game with a 9-3 record.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior attack Hayley Donnelly of Southwestern registered 18 points on seven goals and 11 assists to help the Pirates split a pair of games last week. Donnelly, who leads the SCAC with 77 total points, is currently fifth in league history for points in a single season.
