RAQUEL HILL OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a sophomore from Canyon Lake, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Golfer-of-the-Week for competition from October 9 through October 15.
Hill carded a final-round 9-over-par 80 and wrapped up the individual title with a 157 as she also led Trinity to the team title at the Alamo City Classic. She rose from a third-place finish after Monday's round and won the event by one stroke which was contested at the Quarry Golf Club in San Antonio.
Hill tied for second in the tournament with three birdies, including two in Tuesday's round. She also finished third in total pars over the two rounds, finishing with 17.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior Reygan Rodriguez of Schreiner led the Mountaineers to their second-place team finish with a two-day total of 160 as she finished tied for third after rounds of 78 and 82. Senior Summer Swift of Texas Lutheran placed fifth overall to lead the TLU women to a fifth-place finish at the Alamo City Classic. Swift posted an 87 on Tuesday after shooting a 74 on Monday and taking a one-shot lead into the final round. Sophomore Madison Goldberg of Southwestern was the highest-finishing Pirate at the Golfweek Division III Fall Invitational. She posted a three-day score of 231 after shooting 79 in each of the last two rounds, finishing tied for 13th. Sophomore Myra Truong of St. Thomas had rounds of 84 and 80 to finish at 164 (+20) and in 41st place at the Sydney Cox Invitational - hosted by Oklahoma City University. Junior Erin Rostro of Centenary tied for 24th place after shooting rounds of 94 and 95 for a 189 at the Alamo City Classic. First-year Claire Kirby of Dallas improved by two shots on the day for a 202 (102-100) to lead the Crusaders at the Alamo City Classic. Kirby finished 33rd overall. Senior Ryley Fields of Johnson & Wales followed up Saturday's 118 with a 123 during Sunday's second and final round at Chesapeake Bay Golf Club.
