SUMMER SWIFT OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a senior from Fentress, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Golfer-of-the-Week for competition played through September 17.
Swift claimed her second-straight SCAC honor following her third career individual medalist honor last week, winning the Rockwind Links Invite. Trailing by six-strokes going into the final round, Swift fired a career low even-par 72 to win the event by five shots with a 36-hole total of 148 (76-72). Swift has opened the year with a pair of top two individual finishes and four competitive rounds in the 70s.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore Madison Goldberg of Southwestern led the Pirates to their second-straight team title last week at the Rockwind Link Invitational, finishing second with a two-day total of 153 (79-74). Senior Reygan Rodriguez of Schreiner finished tied for 11th at the Rockwind Links Invite, firing rounds of 81 and 86 for a total of 167.
