EMILEE STRAUSBURG OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior from Denver, Colo., has been selected the SCAC Women’s Golfer-of-the-Week for competition played through September 11th.
Strausburg helped guide the Tigers to their first team title of the 2018-19 season last Tuesday after she earned second-place honors at Texas Lutheran’s Lady Bull Dog Fall Classic, played at Starcke Park Municipal Course in Seguin, Texas.
Strausburg was one of just two golfers to fire two rounds in the 70s with a 12-over par 156 after carding an opening round of 79 and closing with a 77. Trinity cruised to the team title with a two-day total of 634 (319-315), which was 16 strokes better than the next closest team. Strausburg recorded two birdies and 22 pars in the 36-hole event.
