EMILY VACLAVIK OF TRINITY UNIVERSITYa junior outfielder from Richmond, Texas, has been named the SCAC Softball Player of the Week for games played from Monday, February 10 through Sunday, February 16.

Vaclavik had at least two hits in all four games over the weekend, leading Trinity to a 3-1 overall record against Millsaps and UT-Dallas. Vaclavik went an astounding 11-for-15 (.733) at the plate, scoring five runs and driving in two others. She began the week by going 4-or-4 against Millsaps, including a leadoff single and the game-winning run in Trinity's walkoff win. Against UT-Dallas, she had two runs in each game and finished the DH by going 3-for-4 with a walk to reach base four times.

This season, Vaclavik leads Trinity with a .650 batting average (13-20) and has scored five runs to go with two RBI. She has drawn four walks to push her on-base percentage to .720 on the season, and she has swiped four steals to start off the year.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior second baseman/shortstop Ashley Mayorga of Austin College had a big weekend at the plate, batting .429 with a .467 on-base percentage and a .571 slugging percentage. Mayorga had at least one hit in all four games, and added seven RBI and a pair of doubles. She also scored three runs and stole two bases while boasting a perfect fielding percentage. First-year outfielder Annabel Anderson of Dallas totaled four hits in 10 at bats and scored two runs over four games this weekend for the Crusaders. She launched her first career home run - a three-run blast at Howard Payne on Saturday. She also had a double in the team's 2-0 victory. Anderson claimed four walks overlall, with three in a single-game against Hendrix. Junior catcher Katelyn Francis of Southwestern hit .500 (5-10), scored two runs and drove in two more in the weekend's doubleheaders against Hardin-Simmons and McMurry. Senior designated player Rebecca Snow of Texas Lutheran hit .500 in a doubleheader sweep of LeTourneau on Saturday. She went 3-for-4 in the finale and had a solo home run, a double and two RBI. She also had a hit in the first-game victory.
