LINDSEY LONGUET OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a junior pitcher from Missouri City, Texas, has been named the SCAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for games played from Monday, March 25th through Sunday, March 31st.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Freshman Lindsay Devlin of Dallas was the winning pitcher in the Crusaders first league win of the year last week against Trinity. Devlin went 4.1 innings, allowing four hits, allowing zero runs and striking out one in the win. Freshman Chassety Raines of Texas Lutheran earned a pair of wins for the Bulldogs last weekend, including a one-hit shutout last Friday. In two games, Raines allowed just two hits, struck out five and did not walk a batter. Sophomore Allie Holbrook of Trinity posted a perfect 2-0 record last week, as the Tiger’s took three out of four games in its SCAC series with Dallas. Holbrook earned complete-game victories to open the doubleheader on both days, including Sunday’s 5-0 shutout. She gave up just two runs overall and only one earned run in her 14.0 innings, striking out five batters and issuing just two walks.
