KAYLEE CULPEPPER OF SCHREINER UNIVERSITY, a freshman pitcher from Carrollton, Texas, has been named the SCAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for games played from Monday, March 18th through Sunday, March 24th.

Culpepper was phenomenal in the circle last weekend for the Mountaineers making three appearances and posting a 3-0 record including her first career no-hitter in game four of the series sweep against Austin College last weekend. In total, Culpepper allowed just three hits in 11.2 innings of work, zero earned runs and struck out 11 batters.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior Bailey Meyer of Southwestern earned three wins in the circle for the Pirates last week, allowing just four earned runs in three starts and 16.1 innings of work, while striking out 15. Junior Kayla Oliveira of Texas Lutheran notched two more conference wins in two starts to lead TLU to a four-game conference series sweep of Trinity in San Antonio. Oliveira recorded a pair of complete games. In the first game Friday, Oliveira went six innings and registered a three-hit shutout in a 10-0 win. In the first game Saturday, she tossed a six-hitter and allowed just one earned run. She struck out five in the two games and finished the week with an ERA of 0.64.
