KELSIE STONE OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a junior pitcher from Helotes, Texas, has been named the SCAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for games played from Monday, February 25th through Sunday, March 3rd.
Stone tossed 9-2/3 innings in conference games against Southwestern and allowed just one earned run. She scattered 14 hits and finished the two games with an ERA of 0.72. Stone was 1-0 and had one no-decision. She tossed four scoreless innings in the 12-1 win on Saturday in Georgetown.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior Lindsey Longuet of Southwestern made a pair of appearances last weekend in the circle for the Pirates against TLU. Longuet pitched seven innings, allowed 12 hits, struck out eight batters and posted a 5.00 ERA. Sophomore Allie Holbrook of Trinity was saddled with the loss in her only appearance last week, despite allowing just two runs on six hits in her complete-game effort.
